Maritime Skilled Trades Alignment Update
The Maritime Skilled Trades Alignment Project (MSTAP) is designed to model a framework for public/private maritime skilled trades definition alignment and certificate portability across the region’s maritime industry. (MSTAP is funded through the Department of Labor Community Projects Grant program.) John Snell, VDMC Senior Program Manager for Maritime Trades, is engaged with educational, industry, and community SMEs to develop a work plan for this fully-funded project – launching in February 2024 and execute over 18-months. MSTAP outcomes will include fewer Navy sustainment contract delays.
